Code Koala

Welcome!

Thank you for stopping by my humble website. I hope you have an enjoyable experience here.

What is Code Koala?

This Web site is a home for my programming projects and other nerdy hobbies. My blog articles tend to revolve around Linux and programming, though some random "personal" entries make their way in from time to time.

Code Koala is an alias that I've taken upon myself after many joyous years with another nickname. The reason I switched to "code koala" is mostly because I got bored of my previous name. Obviously, I will continue to use both of these nicknames.

In the past, the information on this Web site was found at vcboard.net, but I think I will begin another project to put that Web site back to its intended use.

Who am I?

My name is Josh VanderLinden, and I'm currently studying computer information systems and accounting at Brigham Young University–Idaho. I only have another year left of my studies (if everything goes according to plan). If I were to sum myself up into a single sentence, it would probably be something like this: a happily married computer nerd who loves the outdoors but is allergic to most everything, so he spends most of his waking hours playing on computers. If you're looking for more in-depth information about me, check out the page that is dedicated to such nonsense.

Posted 2 weeks, 1 day ago by wheaties

Up until a couple weeks ago, I had never installed a FavIcon on any of my Django sites. I never really thought about it until one day I enabled the SEND_BROKEN_LINK_EMAILS setting for one of my sites. As soon as I did that, I was able to track...
